Safety Policy
We have long recognized that safeguarding the working environment of our employees is of primary importance. It is our policy to provide a safe work place, and in doing so to maintain sound operating practices which will result in safe working conditions and efficient operations.
Accident prevention is an operating responsibility, which demands the same executive direction and control as is given to other methods of increasing our efficiency. As an operations function, accident prevention is incorporated as part of normal, routine operating responsibilities. Supervisors are directly responsible for continuous effort toward the prevention of accidents. Management at all levels diligently practice and carry out this policy.
We realize that the success of any accident prevention effort depends primarily on the cooperation and active support of all employees. Each employee is expected to abide by the safety rules and follow safe work practices to help ensure their own safety, as well as that of their fellow employees. The prevention of accidents and the human loss that accompanies them is a cooperative effort of both labor and management for the benefit of all.
On the road to WorkSafe BC's "COR CERTIFICATION" in 2012
Effective November 1, 2004, under the Water Act and the Ground Water Protection Regulation, it is required that certain types of work related to ground water and wells in British Columbia will need to be performed by qualified well pump installers. Well construction and installing pumps in wells require the specialized knowledge of qualified well drillers or qualified well pump installers to safeguard ground water sources and prevent situations where ground water may be adversely affected. For further information on this regulation, please click on the links below.
